Lira Municipal Council has a total of 12.25 kilometers of paved roads and about 83.29 kilometers of unclassified gravel roads. However, there is an increase in kilometers of newly opened roads since late 1990’s, when the monitoring and evaluation team from works department carried out their last survey.

There is unknown length of motor able track roads that came out as a result of an advent of LGDP, Lower Local Government investment in roads and NUSAF thus increasing the length of the road network in the Municipality.
